I'm helping my neighbor build a ramp so he can get into his house. I need to know the maximum angle it can be. It is a motorized wheelchair, not the amigo style.

I understand that wheelchair escorts are necessary for all patients being discharged? Why is this if the patient is ambulatory?

I've heard there is an extended insurence for motorzed wheelchairs and scooters which is great because repairs to my wheelchair r bankrupting me.I think if the chair coast u over $ 2000.00 then they should have an insurence like on cars n trucks.
Anyone out there agree say yeah!!! ;0}

Hi, I'm 20 years old, and 2 months an ago I had surgery to treat a syrinx in the spine and unfortunately it damaged my spinal cord and I was paralyzed from the waist down. I haven't been outside my home since. I really need to hear what other people who are in wheelchairs experienced at the start of their wheelchair use. What problems do you have been in a wheelchair in public and how do get over them? How do you get over being so embarassed in public?

I am writing a story, in which my main character is in a wheelchair. To make my story believeable, I am asking people who are wheelchair bound, what are some of the problems you encounter?

This could be with ANYTHING (parking, shopping, cooking, relationships, weather, etc)- as I truly want my character to show folks what it is like to deal with being in a wheelchair.

The wheelchair is being pushed over a good concrete surface, the main wheels are 600mm in diameter. The horizontal distance covered is 2000m. The weight is occupant and wheelchair. How much force is needed to push the wheelchair at a constant speed in Netwon metres?

My disabled fiance and I are moving across the country. We don 't really need a uhaul, or any other type of a moving vehicle for anything except her power wheelchair. Now we really don't want to spend easily over a thousand dollars to move, but she will need her chair.
